American Idol Season 16 alum Gabby Barrett recently took to Instagram to share another snippet of music from her upcoming second album. Barrett released her first album, Goldmine, in 2020. She’s been teasing the follow-up for several months now.
Gabby Barrett Teases Music from Second Album
“He said dance like no one’s watching, whatever you do,” Barrett sings in the clip. “And if life gives you love, fall in / But always be you / Oh, ’cause, girl, it’s a big world and it’s so easy to get lost in / So dance like no one’s watching.”
In the post’s caption, Barrett included a white heart emoji and the hashtag #album2. The singer previously shared an instrumental clip from the new album on Instagram back in September, asking fans what they wanted to hear from the upcoming project.
Comments on the snippet are full of praise for Barrett. That includes a comment from Nicole Combs, who is married to country star Luke Combs. Earlier this year, Barrett teased that her new album would feature a song written by Combs. Fans are speculating that it might be this track.

Barrett Is Still Working on Her New Album
Last week, Barrett shared a video on Instagram in which she can be seen walking through the studio and stepping into the recording booth. As she wrote in the post’s caption, “3 songs down today for album number 2.”
Back in February, Barrett confirmed that she plans to release the album later this year. The singer shared a selfie and wrote, “Excited for album #2 coming out this year & touring.”
In October, Barrett and her husband Cade Foehner welcomed their second child together, a boy named Augustine. The couple met on American Idol and tied the knot in 2019. They also share a 2-year-old daughter named Baylah.
